This girl posted a video of herself turning and asked for feedback. I think a lot of the comments are helpful, so watch her and then read what people had to say. Try incorporating some of these lessons into your own turning:

-Don't twist your upper body before you begin the turn
-Tighten your core
-Keep your bottom leg straight, as if it's drilling into the ground
-Plie a lot so you can spring up into the turn
-Spot hard and precisely
